Please, look around the site and see how I run things. If you are interested in adopting one of our available rats, a baby or two from a current litter, an available adult or just want to be put on the waiting list for a particular type, please e-mail your request and you will be sent an adoption application. Once you send that in, I will contact you about your application.

If I approve you, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to reserve a baby from a current litter, an available rescue or adult or be put on the waiting list for a specific rat or litter that is possible in the future. I do require a deposit of half the adoption fee to reserve a baby (or babies). This deposit is non-refundable.

None of my babies will leave my care until they are six (6) weeks of age. This is to ensure that they have learned everything possible from their mother and each other as to how to properly behave and to ensure that they are healthy.

All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract stipulating what the rat is for. Only on an occasional basis do I adopt out rats on breeding contracts and then only to breeders who show ethics that are meant to improve the fancy and not be detrimental to it. If a rat is adopted out on a pet-only contract and is bred, it's offspring will not be registerable with the NARR. Each baby born in my care is assigned a number by the NARR and is either pet-only or breeding quality.

I do occasionally travel to deliver rats, however, this is not always the option. Time and gas, as well as wear on the car, do cost more money than I often have. If I am not delivering your rat to you, you must meet me at a specific location because I am a closed rattery. This means that I do not allow anyone into my rattery for the safety of my rats and the safety of other individuals' rats. There are no exceptions to this rule, period.

All adopters must quarantine their rats away from their current resident rats. This is a precaution that every rat owner should practice due to the variety of ailments out their that can be contracted by our beloved rats. If you do not know the proper measures to quarantine, please don't hesitate to ask. I will provide you with RSA-specified methods.

Adoption Fees:
hghghgh
Pet Only Adoptions: $18/single & $30/pair
Breeders*: $25/single & $45/pair

Picks of the litter will be staying here. After which, trusted breeders will have their choice and finally adopters on pet only contracts. I do apologize for this, but it is for the betterment of the rat fancy as a whole to have the best quality animals remain for breeding.

* We reserve the right to refuse any and all breeder requests. All babies are NARR registered and sent on a strict adoption contract where all first generation babies must be pet placed unless approved by us. Please feel free to ask any and all questions if you are concerned about our policies. We are more than happy to elaborate.
